(A Hengli Furnace in Transportation)
For over 500 days, the pandemic has changed what normal is. With many new situations thrown at us, COVID forced us to either adapt or hunker down. As the world reopens, the workforce is still limited, and travel restrictions still hurt the industry. One remaining obstacle is equipment installation.

How do you help customers in a country with closed borders and help employees still afraid of travel? Since the pandemic began, traveling on-site and performing installations has been challenging due to employee fears and travel restrictions. Restrictions can be due to safety considerations, local government policy, or the facility's security level. Hengli, even as the biggest belt furnace manufacturer in the world, has limited resources of installation teams. During the pandemic, one challenge was sending a U.S. installation team to finish building a furnace in another country when COVID put a pause on industries and countries restricted travel.
As a solution, Hengli and Torrey Hills Technologies devised a remote installation solution: making our belt furnace "plug and play." The benefits of an installation-free design are in quality, location, and privacy. Furnaces can maximize performance quality by eliminating differences between installation teams. Our furnace is no longer subject to geographical restrictions, without need to send an installation team. For privacy, in some high-tech businesses, the installation-free design can minimize the presence of personnel, maintaining the confidentiality of customers. From a project management perspective, if the furnace factory finishes the complex work at the factory, it can reduce the overall project time and streamlines the process. Remote installation is not without disadvantages, however. An installation member located on-site can guarantee smooth machine operation, and it allows the buyer to installation-related questions in real-time. Also, shipping machines assembled might increase the risk of damage.

Like other businesses, the market will determine if remote installation is a temporary measure or a permanent change, but our dedication to customers remains the same. Remote installation is just one of the many ways Torrey Hills Technologies acclimated with the pandemic's challenges to take care of our customers.
